Brewing Housing Co-op is clean and looks nice to the naked eye, however there is a dark secret at this building. Manager Rose Schwartz routinely harrasses, abuses and even assaults tenants, including the disabled ones who are most vulnerable. This is one of the few co-ops that don't have a higher authority than the board of directors, so tenants are left without any power as she plays the board like a fiddle. Several tenants have called the police, others have flat out told the board, and some have even moved out of the building as there was no other way to stop her ego tripping, bully behaviour. At any given moment you will find either a couch or a mattress at the side of the building, ready for garbage. This stems from the fact that people are too scared of this psychopath, Rose Schwartz and avoid her at all costs. So they aren't coming forward for help with bed bug issues, or any issue for that matter. Why do people abuse? Because they can get away with it! This is simply a small minded person who has low self esteem, so she goes out of her way to intimidate, and bully tenants. Noone has had any sucess of having this abuse aknowledged, so it's not going to stop any time soon. My suggestion is to stay away, especially if you have a disability or other vulnerability. Remember that once you are in here, there is no higher authority to turn to for help.
