I think the TPS did an amazing job dealing with the "protesters", which were more like petty thieves, and vandals. What exactly did the "protesters", protest against?

Good point - Protesters didn't get theirs views across at all - more like spectators with some vandals intermixed.

Me too. As a social worker I have been in need of their assistance before and they have always been helpful and considerate and done their best to keep the peace. But I cant help but believe that CBC report last night. About the weapons display and the phony law... The police and their management should watch this. http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/philip_zimbardo_on_the_psychology_of_evil.html If you can accept the info from this video than you can accept that the police need new management. I cant help but believe it after that CBC report last night. http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/philip_zimbardo_on_the_psychology_of_evil.html If you can accept the info from this video than you can accept that the police need new management.

I am trying, to the best of my ability, to reserve my judgement and avoid making conclusions until I see an official response to this footage and the accusations and statements made against the actions of the police last weekend.

About Toronto Police Service:

The Toronto Police Service (TPS), formerly the Metropolitan Toronto Police, is the police service for the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest municipal police service in Canada and second largest police unit in Canada after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). At a budget of almost $1 billion it ranks second only to the TTC in city budgetary expense.

Toronto Police Headquarters is on College Street near Bay Street in the downtown area. The former HQ at Jarvis Street was turned into a museum (and since re-located to current HQ). The current site was once home to the Toronto YMCA. The current sign in over the main entrance still reads "Metropolitan Toronto Police Headquarters" and still has the seal of Metropolitan Toronto, and since 2007 has the current Toronto Police Service crest.
