The sub-contractor, Loomis, in Saskatoon should no longer be allowed to work on behalf of DHL. Their Service is atrocious! According to the DHL tracker, my companies package arrived in Saskatoon on December 21st. It went out with the courier on December 23rd, but apparently had the incorrect address on it so it just sat there until I phoned DHL on December 30th, when I sopke to a customer service representative about my package. I made sure that DHL had the correct address and also my telephone #, and they said that I would now receive the package on January 2nd. I was find with this reply! It is now January 6th and still no package and no phone call from anyone. I sent a complaint in to DHL, spoke to DHL and they are investigating why I still havent received this package. In the meantime I phone Loomis customer service to get some answers off them. Although their service operator was polite, she could not give me any information as to where my pacakage was because they did not have the information on the screen as it is an international package. OMG, this was the last thing that I wanted to hear and told them that this has to do with my business, and that I could loose a sale because of their incompetence.....Irrespective whether this package is international or not, they should still be able to let me know where it is! I expect compensation off someone for the inconvenience and probable loss of sale. According to loomis they have tried contacting me but as I "do not have a voicemail" they could not rearrange delivery. Told DHL and Loomis that a) I have a voicemail and it's never off; b) have had no phone call or voicemail message from anyone of them; c) have made not attempt at delivering my package as someone is always available at the property in question.
This is a disgraceful way of operating a business to which it also reflects badly on me to my customer.
Would never recommend this company to anyone, and DHL should look into their incompetence.
This branch of Loomis Courier is completely incompetent. They are apparently the local-contractor for DHL. Once a shipment has arrived in Saskatoon it consistently takes them days just to deliver it within the city. If you can have your items shipped by any other courier I would suggest doing so.
I am not impressed with DHL at all. In fact, I am reporting them to BBB. We were sent a package from the Philippines in late September and delivery was attempted on Oct 9th but nobody was at home. Fine. I understand that. We called DHL the same evening and gave them the claim number that was written on the card that was left on our door. They couldn't find the package. They said that the claim number did not exist and it was up to us to find the correct number. We called the Philippines and learned that the delivery person had juxtaposed the last two digits. We called back to DHL and gave the the correct number and they were finally able to locate the package. We authorized them to just leave the package in our porch (We filled out the back of the card with the authorization) and they promised to deliver within 48 hours. It is now Nov 5 and we still do not have the package. We are fed up. We have called DHL's number numerous times. We were told everything from "We cannot locate the package" to "Come pick it up yourself" We have been promised delivery within 48 hours on 3 different occasions. I have too many complaints to mention but here a a few
1: It costs a fair amount of money to send a package DHL from the Philippines. Money that is hard to come by.
2: We selected DHL because these were time-sensitive immigration documents
3: The service that we paid for includes delivery to our residence. Why the heck should my wife be expected to drive all the way across the city to pick up the package?
4: The person that we speak to when we call the number that is written on the card is in Toronto. We are in Saskatoon and cannot find or won't be given the local number.
My wife is fighting mad and you don't want to see her that way. Scary stuff
